The China Chamber of Commerce Museum is located in the former site of the Pingyao Chamber of Commerce, which used to be the Huiyuan Yongpiao House of the Qujia in Qixian County. In the third year of Xuantong (1911), the Pingyao Chamber of Commerce bought it as a chamber of commerce. The current museum has a total of eight exhibition rooms, recreating the history of the Chamber of Commerce with detailed documents and real cultural relics, and giving a detailed introduction to the background, development process, organizational structure, and historical significance of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce. The chamber of commerce was created on the basis of merchant guilds and guild halls with the development of China's commodity economy. It is a coordinating organization between merchants, merchants and the government, merchants and society, and a legal social organization. The functions of the chamber of commerce are equivalent to the current economic and trade, industry and commerce, finance, taxation, quality inspection, price, etc. The modern chamber of commerce is an influential economic organization and a viable emerging social group in the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China.
