China Coal Museum, located on the west bank of Fenhe Park in Taiyuan City, is the collection center of historical relics, specimens, documents and materials of the national coal industry. When you approach the preface hall, you will feel a strong smell of coal, where you can see a 15-square-meter world coal resource distribution map, a 6-meter-high giant coal relief coal pillar, precious coal carving crafts and Huge model of Earth in blue cosmic sky. In the Hall of Coal Generation, a series of fossils, specimens and geological historical materials reveal to tourists the scientific conclusion that coal comes from plants. The hall restores the Jurassic forest landscape hundreds of millions of years ago. Huge petrified wood, towering standard formations, the roar of dinosaurs, the ticking of running water, giant dinosaur skeletons, restored and enlarged plant cells that can be visited, give the audience a strong visual and auditory impact.
In the four-dimensional dynamic theater in the museum, visitors can travel through the space-time tunnel of hundreds of millions of years in just 6 minutes, experience the living environment of the Jurassic in three dimensions, and experience wind, thunder, rain, electricity, volcanic eruption, and crustal Sports and other natural scenes, experience the process of coal generation in thrills and entertainment.
The characteristic of the museum is the "Coal Pleasure Palace". "Coal Pleasure Palace" is an underground simulated mine that uses a large number of physical prototypes or 1:1 scale replicas. The tour route is several hundred meters long. You can put on a miner's uniform and a miner's hat, descend from the elevator to the ground, walk through the simulated underground coal mining tunnel, and feel the hardships and dangers of the daily work of coal miners.
