The Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution was built in 1959 and is one of the top ten buildings in the capital dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the National Day. It is also a large comprehensive military history museum in China. There are 7 floors in the center of the museum, 4 floors on both sides, and a military emblem on the top floor. The whole building is imposing and majestic.

The museum is divided into basic display and temporary display. The basic exhibition is composed of different themed pavilions, taking Chinese military history as the main line, displaying important military events, figures, treatises, technology and weapon development over the past five thousand years, as well as modern China's national defense construction and the People's Army New achievements in formalized construction.

In June 2011, the Military Museum launched the reinforcement and reconstruction project of the exhibition building, and in July 2017, the large-scale weaponry exhibition area on the first floor and the first floor of the weapon exhibition was opened. Currently on display in the open area are the MiG-15 fighter jet that Wang Hai drove in the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea, the P-51 fighter jet that was the leader of the founding parade, the first tank of our army "Hero" and Zhenbao Island Self-Defense The T-62 tanks, the wreckage of the U.S.-made U-2 high-altitude reconnaissance plane, the heroic gunboat of the Toumen Mountain sea battle, the Chinese-made H-6 bomber, and the Chinese-made Hongqi-2 surface-to-air missile and other large weapons and equipment were seized in the counterattack.
