Zhanyi Caiyun Cave is a natural dark cave, located at the end of Zhanyi Huashan Lake in Qujing City, 30 kilometers away from the county seat in the south and 20 kilometers away from the source of the Pearl River in the north. The cave is about 3 kilometers long, the cave body is spacious, and there are many side caves. Generally, the width and height are 20-30 meters, and they are naturally divided into 6 different scenic spots by stalactites. One of the halls is relatively spacious, dominated by stone mantles and stone waterfalls. There are several layers of halls and holes, and each floor is like a forest of bamboo shoots and a pillar of dragons. The third hall is dominated by stone flowers and stalactites, like a criss-crossed path, with ten scenes in one step. The cave in the fourth hall is narrow and eerie. The fifth hall is also known as the Coiled Snake Cave. There are many things that look like pythons coiled and twisted together. There are big and small, long and short. There are even snake scales, which are suspected to be python fossils. The stalactite forest in the sixth hall is also densely covered, but it is not the end of Caiyun Cave and is still under development. "Crystal flows into waterfalls, jade piles into mountains, rocks into ice, and emeralds into curtains." This is the local people in Zhanyi County, Qujing City's praise of Caiyun Cave by Huashan Lake. Among the many karst caves in Yunnan, Caiyun Cave may not be familiar to people, but it is a very deep, peculiar and colorful underground cave, which has only recently been gradually developed to show its brilliance. The rocks in Caiyun Cave are in red, white, yellow, black, hexagram, purple and other colors, which are colorful and wonderful. Among them, the ceiling of a spacious hall is covered with dark stalactites of various sizes and shapes. There is a layer of white minerals between the stalactites. Looking at the reflection of the cave roof from the pool on the ground, it looks like a steep cave. The strange peaks are covered with dark vegetation, and the vegetation is covered with mottled white snow, forming a realistic "forest and snowfield" spectacle.
