Chonghuer means basin in Kazakh. Chonghuer Township is located in the northwest of Burqin County, and the northern end is the famous Kanas Scenic Area. The township is high in the north and low in the south, with Burqin River as the axis, and farming and pastoral villages on the east and west sides, where 13 ethnic groups such as Han, Mongolian, Hui, and Kazakhs live.
