The Spring and Autumn Temple is located in the county seat of Xuyong County. It was built in the 26th year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty (1900 A.D.). Built by Shanxi and Shaanxi salt merchants with huge sums of money, it is mainly dedicated to Guan Yu. Because Guan Yu likes to read "Chunqiu Zuoshi Biography", it is named Chunqiu Temple.

The Spring and Autumn Temple has a strong late Qing palace-style architectural style, simple and elegant, and rigorous in structure. The main buildings include Lelou, Corridor, Ear Room, Xiangdian, Guanyu Hall, Sanguan Hall, built-in platform, curved bridge, pool, and hall, covering an area of 4,000 square meters. The buildings are either carved or painted, and the typical ones are Jiulongfang, Jiufengfang, Yongning Eight Scenes, Hundred Birds and Plum Blossom Windows, Hundred Phoenixes Chaoyang, Hundreds of Shoutu, Fishing and Woodcutter Farming, Mi Nangong Painting, etc., which are exquisite and can be called late. It is a treasure of Qing architectural sculpture art. Famous at home and abroad. The couplet plaque of the Spring and Autumn Temple has a special style, rich connotations, and is well-known.

In 1980, the Spring and Autumn Temple was named a provincial cultural relic protection unit. In 1998, it was built as a wood carving and stone carving art museum.
