Xixia Song Cliff Stone Carvings are located at the foot of Tianjing Mountain, 13 kilometers away from Chengxian County, Gansu Province. They are commonly known as "Yellow Dragon Tablets" and were engraved in the fourth year of Jianning in the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 171). The cliff stele of Ode to the West Gorge is 2.2 meters high and 3.4 meters wide. On the forehead of the stele are four seal-cut characters of "Huian Xibiao". The main text is in table form, with 12 lines inscribed in official script, 385 characters, and each character is 9 to 10 centimeters square. It mainly describes Li Xi's life and his outstanding achievements as the local chief executive, as well as his virtuous government of leading the people to build the ancient Xixi Road for the benefit of the people. Both inscriptions and calligraphy are of high value in stone research and copy appreciation. The images of Huanglong, Bailu, Ganlu, Jiahe, Mulianli and Chengluren are inscribed in front of the main text. There are more than 30 ancient inscriptions around the inscriptions, and Li Keran, a master of modern Chinese painting, inscribed "Eastern Han Cliff Stones" and "Ode to the West Gorge". At the bottom left of Xixia Ode, there is another Han Li cliff stone inscription, commonly known as "Peach Blossom Stele". About 1 km to the east, there is a cliff inscription "Geng Xun Stele, Prefect of Wudu, Han Dynasty" in the third year of Xiping in the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 173), which records Geng Li's political achievements. The Cliff Stele Ode to the West Gorge is one of the only three monuments in China in the Han Dynasty, "Ode to Shimen", "Ode to Fuge" and "Ode to the West Gorge", and it is well preserved. It integrates literature, painting, calligraphy, Han Confucianism and local government system. It is an important physical evidence for the study of articles in the Eastern Han Dynasty, as well as social politics, economy and transportation at that time.
