The five-color sea is called Mudicuo in Tibetan, and it is located above the milk sea, between Xiannairi and Yangmaiyong. It gets its name because it produces five different colors when exposed to sunlight.
The five-color sea is 4,500 meters above sea level. After a steep slope on the right side of the milk sea, the lake surface is round and the water is clear. Under the sunlight, it reflects colorful light, which is very spectacular. The five-color sea is a sacred lake in the hearts of the locals, and it is said that it can "reverse history and predict the future". Buddhist classics praise the lake, saying that it is as famous as Yamdrok Yongcuo in Tibet.
