Cuogao Village is located at the northeast end of the "Basongcuo" Lake in Nyingchi, Tibet. It is backed by the majestic and steep snow mountain "Burning Flame", and faces the warm and moist "Basongcuo" Lake; a place where black-necked cranes, red shelducks and The snow pigeon's wetland slowly spreads from the village to the lake. Basongcuogao Village is the only village in the Gongbu area that has completely maintained the layout, architectural style, customs, culture and beliefs of the traditional Tibetan villages in Gongbu.
The dwellings here follow the traditional construction method of Gongbu Tibetans, using wood and stone according to local conditions. Firewood is stacked on the stone courtyard walls. The spacious courtyard can be used for stacking fodder and raising livestock. The winding alleys meander between the courtyard walls, leading to Manilakang, Mani stone piles and prayer flag pillars scattered throughout the village, stringing together the footprints of villagers praying, praying, and worshiping. These religious sites, together with the surrounding snow-capped mountains, sacred lakes, and ancient myths passed down orally by villagers from generation to generation, constitute the spiritual world of Gongbu Tibetans, and the fertile pastures and wetlands provide them with sufficient living space to rely on. Cuogao Village is thus embedded in the snow-capped mountains and green waters, continuing the ancient history of Gongbu Tibetans.
