Dacaohe Hot Spring Waterfall is located in Qiaowo Town, northwest of Puge County. It takes a 50-kilometer drive from Xichang to Qinggangping at an altitude of 1,600 meters, and then climbs up the embankment of the Dacao River Canal at an altitude of 1,700 meters. Climbing along the "Tiger's Mouth" to the turbulent Dacao River, you can reach the steaming hot spring waterfall with thundering sound.
The hot spring gushes out from the mountainside. The water quality is clear and can be drunk directly, which is very pleasant. A large long trough-shaped pool is formed under the hot spring spout, which can accommodate more than 20 people to bathe at the same time. The beauty is that the water curtain formed by the waterfall hangs outside the big pool, which is called "Fairy Pool" or "Water Curtain Cave". There is another pool on both sides of Shuilian Cave. Each pool can accommodate two people. It is called "Mandarin Duck Pool" and is a good place for couples.
