Zhenlan Palace was built during the Yongzheng period. It was named Zhenlan Palace because the Mazu Empress was able to town the sea. In 1934, a major earthquake occurred in the nearby Qingshui and Houli, causing heavy casualties, but the Dajia area was safe and sound, and the people were even more grateful for the protection of Mazu. In 1980, people saw that the beams and pillars of the temple were decaying. After discussion by the representative assembly of believers, it was decided to demolish the old temple and rebuild the new palace on the original site, which took 8 years to complete.

The buildings of Zhenlan Palace include the front hall, the back hall, the north and south halls, the north and south chambers, the bell and drum towers, etc. The buildings are full of stories of characters, flowers, birds, trees, birds and animals, etc. Whether it is wood or stone carvings, everything is colorful and ingenious. The surroundings of the shrine are even more magnificent, and the layers of decorations exude a gorgeous and solemn atmosphere. The plaques with the inscriptions of several emperors of the Qing Dynasty are of historical value, such as the ancient plaques of "protecting the country and sheltering the people" and "youji Zhaoling" in the Qianlong period, the ancient plaques of "with the same merit as the sky" bestowed by Emperor Guangxu, and the " "Sincerely ask for a response", "The light of kindness shines everywhere", "Gong Gong Gong Yi", etc., are all ancient relics preserved since the Qing Dynasty.

Zhenlan Palace mainly worships the Empress Mazu, and also enshrines the Holy Parents, Guanyin Bodhisattva, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, the North and South Stars, Shennong Emperor, Wenchang Emperor, Twenty-eight Stars and other gods and saints who are familiar to people and have many believers.

Every year, the day when Dajia Mazu goes around the country for pilgrimage is not fixed. The day and time of pilgrimage are decided by the chairman of the management committee on the Lantern Festival of that year. Throughout the 9 days and 8 nights of circumnavigation activities, there are ten main ceremonies, such as swan, flag raising, praying for peace, getting on the sedan chair, driving up, parking, praying for blessings, birthday celebrations, driving back, and seating. They saluted devoutly according to the established procedure, place and time. Friends who are interested in folk culture and Mazu belief can go to watch the ceremony and fully experience the local cultural customs.
