Dakeng Scenic Area is located in Beitun District, Taichung City. It is known as "Yangming Mountain in Taichung City". The scenic area is adjacent to Zhongxing Ridge in the north, Touyu Mountain in the east, Buzikeng Creek in the south, and Dali Creek in the west. There are six natural creeks in the area, including Dakeng Creek, Zhuoshuikeng Creek, Qingshuikeng Creek, Hengkeng Creek, Beikeng Creek and Buzikeng Creek. Although the altitude is only 850 meters, due to the water conservation forest and the steep terrain, there is little human development, and the original scenery is charming.
The orogenic movement of the two ice ages in ancient times gave birth to the rich natural resources of the Dakeng Scenic Area. The Taichung City Government has opened up 8 hiking trails here, combined with the Zhongzheng camping area, physical training ground and other leisure attractions. Go hiking.
