The Yungang Grottoes Museum is a Datong Yungang Grottoes Museum designed by architect Cheng Dapeng. It is located on the west side of the Yungang Grottoes Scenic Area in Datong City, within the scope of the landscape protection area, and is one of the sub-items of the reconstruction of the entire Yungang Grottoes scenic spot. The Yungang Grottoes are located at the southern foot of Wuzhou Mountain, about 16 kilometers west of Datong City. It has a history of 1,500 years. It is the first Buddhist art carved by a nation and a dynasty after the Buddhist art was introduced to China. The treasure house is a historical monument of the fusion of Chinese and Western cultures in the 5th century AD. In 2007, it became the first batch of 5A-level tourist attractions in the country.
