Dawukou Forest Park is located at the foot of Helan Mountain in the northwest of Dawukou City, close to the famous tourist attraction Xixia ancient temple North Wudang Temple (Shoufo Temple) tourist area. Backed by Helan Mountain and embracing Dawukou City, covering an area of 10,000 mu, it is an important achievement in the construction of Dawukou Landscape Garden City and a key project in the construction of North Wudang Ecotourism Scenic Spot.
The forest park used to be undulating sand dunes and piles of rocks, and there were almost no trees around it except for splendens splendens and low jujube trees. Whenever it is windy, yellow sand fills the entire city, and the urban environment is very harsh. Since November 1997, after 10 years of planting, the people here have leveled 1.32 million square meters of green belts, removed more than 600,000 cubic meters of earthwork, replaced 20,000 cubic meters of earthwork, planted 350,000 square meters of lawns and 30,000 square meters of land. Rice alfalfa, the forest park has completed the planting task of 120 varieties and 321,000 trees, and the survival rate of the trees has reached more than 90%.
