The Dayu tribe originally belonged to the "Lade" of the Living Buddha Xiarong Gabu. It is an indigenous nomadic tribe formed by the gathering of Tibetan clan groups from different regions. It is one of the "Eight Clans Around the Sea" of Tibetan nomadic tribes in Qinghai. Different from other Tibetan tribes, the seven tribes of Dayu Seven Tribes originally belonged to different tribes and different regions. They were combined because of Tibetan Buddhism and Lamao Xiarong Gabu Living Buddha. Today's Dayu Tribe was formed through the integration of these tribes.

Lamao Xiarong Gabu Living Buddha was highly appreciated by the third Sonam Gyatso because of his extensive knowledge and proficiency in classics. After the Mongolian tribes in Monan, Qinghai converted to Tibetan Buddhism in the 1670s, Sonam Gyatso sent Lamao Xiarong Gabu Living Buddha to the Amdo area to promote the Dharma. Due to his profound knowledge and lofty status, he quickly won the favor of local Tibetan leaders, Mongolian princes, and Mongolian and Tibetans. The respect and love of the majority of believers. The local princes respected him as "Wu La" and dedicated Aga Xiangqulin in Jianzha County as a place of offering to him. Due to the great influence of Lamao Xiarong Gabu in the local area, the central government of the Ming Dynasty soon attracted great attention. He was canonized as "Aga White Reincarnated Living Buddha" and given a golden seal.

During the period of the second Lamao Xiarong Gabu, the Mongolian leader of Tumed in Qinghai dedicated one hundred herdsmen under his ancestral home to the second Lamao Xiarong Gabu as his "rad". The second Lamao Xiarong Gabu distributed 50 of them to the Gulu Temple as tenant farmers of the temple; the 50 households stayed under the sect of the deity and moved to the Ningtebu tribe to graze. Later, this part became the Ningtebu tribe of Dayu. The main source of the Tebu tribe.
