Dimen village is surrounded by mountains and rivers, and a clear small river passes through the middle of the village. There are 3 flower bridges (wind and rain bridges). There are 2 drum towers and 2 theaters in the village. In 2004, a central performance stage and Dong Ecological Museum buildings were built. It is an ancient, complete and representative Dong village with ethnic customs and culture in the Dong area.

Dimen is a place name translated according to the phonetic translation of the Dong, literally translated as the source of spring water, and transliterated as the place where the village was born and the people were prosperous. It consists of five natural villages, Muzhai, Mangzhai, Yinzhai, Weizhai and Mozhai. 90% of Dimen is surnamed Wu. Wu surnamed moved to Dimen at the end of the Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of the Ming Dynasty. It has a history of more than 700 years. There are five Dafang clans with the Wu surname in Dimen. Intermarriage is not allowed within Dafang clan. , Mozhai and Yinzhai.
