Dingzhou Gongyuan is located in Caochang Hutong, Dongjie Street, Dingzhou City, Hebei Province. Dingzhou Gongyuan is the relatively well-preserved Qing Dynasty scientific research site Dingzhou Gongyuan in China. In the third year of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty, Dingzhou Gongyuan was established by Zhou Muwang Danian to gather civil and military candidates in the jurisdiction to take the exam, and it was a place for the selection of scholars and tribute students. In the twelfth year of Daoguang, Wang Zhonghuai, the state herdsman, persuaded the people to donate to the people, expanded the site, rebuilt it, and expanded it, forming a large-scale examination room.

The plane of the Gongyuan is square, and the main building is composed of two buildings: Haoshe and Kuige. The number house takes the mountain as its front. Kui Pavilion is on the south side of Haoshe, with a steeple in the middle and lower sides successively, forming a unique appearance and becoming a prominent feature of Dingzhou Gongyuan. The second-story attic in Kui Pavilion is the place where "Kui Xing" is enshrined. The lobby is next to the north of the dormitory, where candidates hand in their papers and examiners seal them. The back building is the place where the examiners watch the martial arts competition, and it is also used as accommodation.

The Dingzhou Gongyuan has a grand scale and majestic grandeur, which not only embodies the architectural characteristics of the Qing Dynasty, but also has the flexibility of local architecture. It is the material material for studying the local architectural art of the Qing Dynasty and the imperial examination system of the Qing Dynasty.
