Dong's Mansion is located in Lutianwazi Village, Jinji Town, Wuzhong City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. It is the residence of Dong Fuxiang, a famous general in the late Qing Dynasty and admiral of Gansu Province. Dong Fuxiang (1840-1908Nian), style name Xingwu, was born in Guyuan (now Ningxia), Gansu in the Qing Dynasty, and was an official to Shangshu Admiral (Admiral).

The site of Dong’s Mansion was originally a lake. It was built on a rammed loess pad, and the craftsmen and materials used were selected from all over the country. The wood comes from Gannan; the stone comes from Shaanxi; most of the carpenters are from Sichuan, most of the blacksmiths are from Baotou, and the masons are from Shaanxi; bricks, tiles and lime are all fired on site. It took more than three years, employed more than 3 million people, consumed 5 million catties of grain, and consumed 300,000 taels of silver.
