Dongda Mountain, the highest mountain pass on the Sichuan-Tibet line, is also known as the "Life Forbidden Zone", and there is snow all year round. At an altitude of 5008 meters, one side of the mountain is the galloping Lancang River, and the other side is Zuogong. In Dongda Mountain, the temperature in Bangda Grassland can reach below zero degrees Celsius. However, the temperature on the banks of the Lancang River and Nujiang River is around 20°C. The altitude difference experienced in a day can be nearly 2500 meters. Between the two counties are the Jueba Mountains, the Lawu Mountains, and the Dongda Mountains, which are nearly 6,000 meters above sea level.
