Dongga Temple has a history of more than 500 years. It is a branch temple of Tashilhunpo Temple and a Gelug temple with a large scale and influence in Yadong. There are cultural relics in the late Qing Dynasty in the temple - Sun Buddha Thangka, which has a unique mural carving process and is of high ornamental value. Every year on the fifteenth day of the first lunar month in the Tibetan calendar, Dongga Temple will hold a grand Buddha exhibition and butter flower show, attracting people to watch.
