The Du Gong Temple sits east to west, facing Dachuan. The National Highway 210 is under the temple, and the apricot water flows slowly in front of the temple. It used to be a stone bay in those days. Legend has it that Du Fu, a great writer and poet, once rested here at night when he rested his shoes on his shoes.
The "Anshi Rebellion" that broke out in the 14th year of Tang Tianbao (755 A.D.) threw Du Fu, who was the right guard at the time and led the governor Cao Canjun, into the lower class of society. Du Fu walked through the present Yan'an twice on his way to escape. This was an important event he experienced in his life, which made him better understand the people's conditions and sufferings, and reflected them in his poems, such as "Three Views on Water Rising", "Late Travel Slogan" ", "Yuhua Palace", "Refuge", "News from Deshedi", "Three Poems of Qiang Village", "Northern Expedition", "Peng Yaxing", "Happy to hear that the officers and soldiers are approaching the enemy's territory", " Receive Beijing Three Poems" and so on. In order to commemorate this great poet, the people of Yan'an named the river he passed through in Yan'an "Du Fuchuan", and built "Du Gong Temple" as a commemorative place where he slept.
