Dugong Temple is located at the entrance of Feilong Gorge, 3.5 kilometers southeast of Chengxian County. It is an ancestral building commemorating the Tang Dynasty poet Du Fu's exile in the same valley. It is the oldest one among the 37 existing "thatched cottages" in China.

In the second year of Tang Qianyuan (759 A.D.), the poet Gan Huazhou resigned from office and traveled westward with his family. More than ten poems such as "Seven Songs of the Same Valley" record landscapes, hurt chaos and separation, and cherish relatives and friends. The ruins of Du Fu Tonggu's former residence in Xiantong period of Tang Dynasty still exist. In the fifth year of Song Xuanhe (AD 1123), the scholar Zhao Weigong donated five acres of land, and the county magistrate Guo Zao began to feed it, so that the visitors would recite his poems and cherish his people, "respect his image and be loyal to his writing". After several generations of additions and repairs, it has become the scale it is today.

The feeding hall is built on the high and wide slope, with its back against the Immortal Cliff, overlooking the Qingni River, leaning on the ancient plank road on the right, and facing Phoenix Mountain in the distance. The gate is a hanging mountain and hanging flowers, which is simple and solemn. Entering the backyard, there is a stone statue of the poet in the main hall of the Ci hall. In the backyard, there were originally eight ancient cypresses, one Chinese locust tree, and one clump of crabapple trees. It is known as "eight cypresses and one locust tree sea". Next to the temple is the Yusheng Spring, which flows down from the cave, and the stones are like snow sprays; on the hillside, there are green pines, birdsong trees, and the sound of the waves, which is fascinating.
