The display part of the center has a video studio and three exhibition areas, where the essence of Dunhuang Grotto art and an overview of its development can be displayed. The video studio shows the audience a video about Dunhuang Grottoes art and an overview of the exhibition center. The eight original large replica caves in the exhibition area are outstanding representative caves of Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes in various periods, showing the style of Dunhuang grotto art for more than 1,000 years from the Sixteen Kingdoms to the Yuan Dynasty.

The second exhibition area is "Dunhuang Grottoes Cultural Relics Exhibition", which exhibits the fine cultural relics unearthed from Dunhuang Grottoes, including the creation of Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes, the treasures of Dunhuang murals, the creation process of Dunhuang Grottoes and the painting tools used by painters to draw caves. Exquisite ancient silk fabrics discovered in the Mogao Grottoes, authentic ancient manuscripts discovered in the Sutra Cave, Dunhuang tile art and other display units.

The third exhibition area is located on the second floor of the exhibition hall of the exhibition center. It is an auxiliary exhibition area, which can hold various exhibitions and special cultural relics display.
