The terrain of Dushanzi District is oblique, long in the north and south, narrow in the east and west, high in the northwest and low in the southeast. Most of the area is the Gobi Desert, with an altitude of less than 500 meters. The average altitude is about 400 meters, and the lowest point is Lake Eric, which is about 250 meters above sea level. In the west of the urban area, there are Jiayi Mountain and Qingke Mountain, and in the east, the terrain is open and flat, sloping towards the Junggar Basin; in the south, Dushanzi is named after the mountain. It is located in the central and western part of Dushanzi District, with an altitude of 1283 meters.
