Eight Immortals Mountain is surrounded by white clouds and towers beside Longhua Town. There are 8 main peaks on the mountain, like 8 arhats lined up in a row, sitting cross-legged in meditation, so it is called "Eight Immortals Mountain."

The Giant Buddha of Baxian Mountain stands quietly and upright on a stone cliff at an altitude of 891 meters above sea level on the bank of the Longxi River. The "Encyclopedia of China" included the top ten Buddha statues in the world, and the Baxianshan Buddha is on the list. The Great Buddha of Baxian Mountain has a head in a snail bun and is dressed in cassock. He is dignified and solemn, with his left hand on his chest, his right hand drooping, and his palm facing outwards. Looking from a distance among the green bushes, his hair is like a spiral bun, and he is dressed in cassock. The right hand holds the alms bowl, the left hand droops, the image is lifelike, solemn and kind, and it is a typical Western statue of receiving Buddha. The newly compiled "Pingshan County Chronicle" in 1985 said it was "32 meters high"; "Selected Materials of Yibin Literature and History" and "Pearl Pingshan on the Jinsha River" compiled by Pingshan County in 1998 said it was "37 meters tall and 11 meters wide at chest". It has not yet been chiseled below the knee. If the feet are chiseled, it may be increased by 10 meters. But the local villagers said that the Buddha's feet cannot be carved. If they are carved, the Buddha's feet will have to be washed. Every summer, the Da and Xiaolong streams at the foot of the mountain will be flooded, and the ancient town of Longhua downstream will be swept away.
