The Eight-petal Lotus Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritance Experience Center is less than 500 meters away from the Kumbum Monastery. It is a display of sixteen kinds of Tibetan cultural arts such as Thangka, clay sculpture, and embroidery in the large scenic area of the Kumbum Monastery. You can personally participate in the experience sights.
The center is the only Tibetan cultural and artistic boutique exhibition in our province and even in Tibetan areas, and a comprehensive feature tourism complex with complete functions for experiencing and interacting with 16 kinds of handicraft intangible cultural heritage items. In the center, you can witness the face of the only gilded mandala of thirty-five Buddhas in China, pray for your family and friends, and be impressed by the superb production skills of the silver thangkas in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties! The only 35-Buddha gold-plated mandala in China is made of sterling silver double-dragon play beads, inlaid with centuries-old red coral, turquoise, lapis lazuli and other precious gemstones in the middle, showing its exquisite workmanship, Rich history and great value. The turquoise Sakyamuni Buddha is a cultural relic from the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. The body of the Buddha is inlaid with turquoise, and the bottom is inlaid with various gemstones such as coral and agate. It permeates the cultural and ideological heritage of Tibetan Buddhism. The silver thangka in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties was created by more than 20 national intangible cultural heritage inheritors with their superb forging and gold-gilding skills for five years.
