Ering Lake is located in the east of Zaling Lake. The shapes of Eling Lake and Zhaling Lake are exactly the opposite. Eling Lake is narrow from east to west and long from north to south, just like a big treasure gourd. The area of the lake is 628 square kilometers, which is 100 square kilometers larger than that of Zhaling Lake. The average water depth is 17.6 meters, and the water storage capacity is more than twice that of Zhaling Lake.
The water of Eling Lake is clear and dark green. On a sunny day, the clouds in the sky and the surrounding mountains are reflected in the water and can be clearly seen, so it is called "Long Blue Lake".
