The English-style villa is located in No. 18 Nanming East Road, Guiyang City. It is one of many villas built in Nanmingtang in the 1930s in our city. It was designed and built by Shanghai architect Tao Guilin.

The villa is a garden-style house with brick and wood structure, blue bricks and red tiles. Two-story building, with windows on all four walls, clear water pointing on the outer walls, and whitewashing on the inner walls. There are 10 principal rooms in total, all covered with catalpa flooring. The floor of the dining room and the living room are mosaic, the flower decoration is clear and elegant, and there is a fireplace in the living room.

There is a balcony of nearly 10 square meters in the foyer on the second floor. The design of the house is unique, the structure is firm, and the ventilation and lighting are good. It is a more distinctive one among many villas.

With the changes of the times, the original Nanmingtang villas were demolished one after another, and only this English-style villa was completely preserved. It not only witnesses the development and changes of Guiyang city, but also supports the architectural status of Guiyang luxury houses in the 1930s and 1940s. In October 2003, it was announced as a municipal cultural relic protection unit by the Guiyang Municipal People's Government.
