Enhe Township is located at about 51 degrees north latitude, northwest of Hulunbuir City, surrounded by mountains, and separated from Russia by the Ergun River. Enhe is a Russian ethnic township with pleasant scenery, quietness and simplicity. Eighty percent of the local residents are Russian compatriots.

Enhe has a Russian folklore museum. Except for animal and plant specimens and folklore works, almost every exhibit has a history of hundreds of years. The Folklore Museum covers all aspects of the social life of the Russians, interpreting the formation and development of the Russians in China from different aspects, and its profound Russian primitive culture, which is a vivid reproduction of the life history of the Russians in China.

In ancient literature, Enhe is called "Tatar", where the ancestors of the Mongols lived. However, in the Southern Song Dynasty, this place became the place where Genghis Khan started. Not far from Enhe, there is a small horseshoe-shaped island in the Genhe Wetland, which is regarded by the locals as the footprints of the great Khan’s horse. Enhe and the adjacent Shiwei still retain more than 10 large and small Mongolian city ruins.
