The Faquan Temple Scenic Area was first built in the Northern Wei Dynasty, flourished in the Tang and Song Dynasties, and was added in the past. In the early Tang Dynasty, Yuchi Jingde, a general, built Faquan Temple. In the fifth year of Chongning in Song Dynasty (1106), Faquan Temple and Jingyun Temple in Xi'an were granted as Zen temples of the upper and lower courtyards. After several wars, repairs and additions began in 1988, and the building is basically well preserved. The total area of ​​Faquan Temple Scenic Tourist Area is 3.86 square kilometers. The building area of ​​the temple is 5,200 meters. The buildings in the courtyard are distributed in the south and north. They are built on the cliff and are magnificent. There are more than 60 grotto palaces including Shanmen, Gate Tower, Ten Thousand Buddha Pagoda, Five Hundred Arhat Hall, Yuhuang Cave, Queen Mother Palace, Eight Immortals Palace, Wenchang Pavilion, Tianfeng Pagoda, and Kuixing Pavilion. During the period, the palaces and pavilions are resplendent and magnificent, the pagoda reaches into the sky, the lake is sparkling, the mountains are quiet, the forest is quiet, the rocks are clear, and the spring is clear. It is regarded by Buddhists as a good place for practicing and proving the Tao. Peng Ze, Shangshu of the Ministry of War in the Ming Dynasty studied here, and Zhang Daqian, Yu Youren, He Yu and other cultural celebrities in modern times visited the ancient temple and left calligraphy. In the 1960s, the national first-class cultural relic "Siku Quanshu" was collected here.
