Feilai Temple is located on the Yunnan-Tibet Highway about 10 kilometers away from Deqin County, facing Kawagebo, the main peak of Meili Snow Mountain. It has been more than 380 years ago. In fact, Feilai Temple itself is a very small temple, usually there is only one lama, a cat and a big rooster as companions. In the temple, there is a monument of "the martyrdom of the Chinese and Japanese Meili Snow Mountain climbing warriors" and a pagoda. It was built in Deqin. If you are interested, you can visit it and burn incense to pray for blessings.

What really makes Feilai Temple famous is the landscape of "Rizhao Jinshan". At sunrise, the sun shines on the main peak of Meili, and the snow mountain seems to emit golden light, which is very spectacular. As it is just beside the Yunnan-Tibet route, it is also a good place to watch the "Rizhao Jinshan" landscape of Meili Snow Mountain. More and more tourists come here to view the scenery and take pictures, so people build hotels here, and gradually this place has become a place in Yunnan Province. In a tourist distribution center next to the Tibetan line, people began to call the village around the temple Feilai Temple, but not many people knew about the temple itself.

There are relatively comfortable hotels in Feilaisi Village, as well as youth hostels suitable for backpackers, suitable for different types of travelers. Feilai Temple also has a viewing platform for tourists to take pictures. It is not necessary to enter the observation deck to take pictures of "Rizhao Jinshan". You can also take pictures in other places along the national highway, or if your room is facing Meili Snow Mountain, you can save the cost of the observation deck.

The "Sunshine Golden Mountain" is not visible every day. The climate is better in summer, but there is also a lot of rain, and the mountain peak is likely to be blocked by clouds and fog. The recommended viewing time is October-December, which is the dry season and the weather is quite cold, but there are fewer clouds and fog on the mountain, so the chances of seeing it are higher. Usually arrive at Feilai Temple the afternoon before, stay at the hotel in the village for one night, and then charter a car to Xidang Village after seeing the Sunshine Golden Mountain in the early morning of the next day, and then walk to Yubeng.
