The Fenhe Scenic Spot in Taiyuan City starts from the upper reaches of the Shengli Bridge in the north and ends at the lower reaches of the South Inner Ring Bridge in the south, with a total length of about 6 kilometers. In Yingze District, there are Huxin Island, Fenshui Pavilion, etc., and it is close to the bustling Changfeng Street and Qinxian Street. There are six landscape areas, four squares, ten gardens, and 14 scenic spots with their own characteristics distributed on the belt-shaped green platforms on both sides of the Fen River Scenic Area.
Along the west bank of the Fen River, there are three squares, Jinfen Ancient Rhyme, Liyuan Yuyin, and Wuhuan Brilliance, which respectively reflect the long historical context of the Three Jin Dynasties, the extensive and profound opera culture, and the vibrant sports and fitness scenes. Along the east bank of the Fen River, there are scenic spots such as Fen River Wandu, Yanqiu, Beach and Clear Water, Beyond Time and Space, Source of Life, and Japan and Taiwan, where you can appreciate the combination of modern civilization and nature. There are colorful rubber dams, large musical fountains, bird islands, oases, duck houses, etc. dotted on the surface of the lake in the scenic area, showing a picture of sparkling waves and the same color of water and sky. As night falls, more than 8,000 lamps of more than 80 different styles spread across various scenic spots and the four light belts along Binhe East and West Road complement each other, showing a colorful three-dimensional beauty.
The Fen River Scenic Area is a place for Taiyuan citizens to take a leisurely walk and relax. It is also very pleasant to walk along the banks of the Fen River, breathe the air by the river, and see the flowers and plants on both banks and the squares with local characteristics.
