Huolong Cave is located 19 kilometers northwest of Yining City, in the west mountain of Tiechanggou in Bayandai Township. "Fire Dragon" refers to the geothermal heat here. This is due to the spontaneous combustion of the underground coal sea, and hot gas is ejected from the cracks in the mountain all the year round. It contains a lot of sulfur, crystal, alum and other minerals.
Although these caves belong to the same mountain, their temperature, humidity and contents are different. There is a small hole with a very high temperature, where eggs can be boiled, lamb stewed, and pancakes can be baked.
