Diping Fengyu Bridge is located in Diping Township, Liping County, Guizhou Province. It is commonly known as Huaqiao. There are three bridge towers built on the bridge, the middle tower is shaped like a drum tower, with five-fold eaves and four-corner pointed roofs, known as the Drum Tower on the bridge, with a height of 10.2 meters. There are clay sculptures of boiling fish, double dragons robbing treasures, and double phoenixes facing the sun. The four pillars of the middle building are painted with green dragons and phoenixes, which are lifelike. The structure of the whole Huaqiao is ingenious, using the principle of leverage mechanics, the large and small columns, fangs, purlins, stools, and railings are all made of fir with tenons and tenons, without nails and rivets. The building is beautiful in shape, rigorous in structure, exquisite in craftsmanship, majestic and magnificent, and its shape and structure rank first in the country. It shows the unique style of Dong architectural art and is the crystallization of the wisdom of the Dong people.
In the summer of 2004, heavy rains fell in the upper reaches of the river, and the ground wind and rain bridge was partially washed away. The bridge we see now was rebuilt on August 18, 2008.
