Huaergou is located in the southeastern suburb of Tianshan District. There are nearly 1,000 mu of flowers and grassland in the ditch, including a range of 9 kilometers from the north of Shixia to the south of the fourth-level hydropower station. Belonging to the shallow mountain belt of the Sangong River Basin, the terrain is open and undulating, with low mountains, grasslands and geological landscapes as the main features.
Every spring it becomes a sea of flowers, known as the "Valley of Ten Thousand Flowers". Ancient elms, secondary forests, birch forests and shrubs grow in the valley. There are drip irrigation and natural pastures on the mountain terraces. From the entrance of the mountain to the Shixia, the Sangong River exposes the Cenozoic, Mesozoic, and Paleozoic strata in sequence, recreating the earth's history of nearly 350 million years, and the vivid geological plane shows a veritable "time tunnel".
