The former site of Mengzi Customs is located on the shore of the beautiful and pleasant South Lake. It is a Chinese-style house surrounded by red exterior walls. It is the location of the customs opened in Yunnan after the Sino-French War. The house is an ancient single-story palace-style wooden structure, and the interior displays materials about Yunnan Customs and the history of Mengzi. This is also the former site of the Mengzi General Post Office of the Qing Dynasty. There are many postal graphic materials and physical exhibits in the room.
