The Fortress is located on Persimmon Hill near the Ruins of St. Paul's. It was built in 1616 and is one of the important historical sites in Macau. The Fortress used to be the core of Macau's defense system, building an artillery defense network covering the east and west coasts.
The fort is an irregular quadrilateral as a whole, with four corners forming a bastion. The wall is about 9 meters high, and more than 30 cannons can be erected to resist attacks from all directions. Today's Fortress has become a tourist attraction. There is a large green space in front of it, where you can overlook the panoramic view of Macau.

2. There is no fence around the Fortress, only notices, a bit dangerous, tourists with children should pay special attention.
