Furong Cave is a cave listed as a World Natural Heritage Site. There are most types of stalactites in the world here, which are colorful and visually impactful under the illumination and background of lights. The scenic spot is located on the bank of Furong River, 4 kilometers away from Jiangkou Town, Wulong County.
Furong Cave is composed of Qikeng Cave, Falling People Cave, Weijiangling Cave, Shuilian Cave, Furong Cave, Sifang Cave and other caves. Among them, the horizontal cave represented by Furong Cave is a good place for tourists. The 2-kilometer-long cave area is divided into three parts: the first area mainly highlights the colorful visual impact, while the second and third areas focus on natural tones.
The space in Furong Cave is huge. The main attractions in the cave are Jinluan Palace, Leifeng Pagoda, Yuzhu Qingtian, Yulin Qionghua, Canine Crystal Flower, Millennium Kiss, Animal Kingdom, Underwater Dragon Palace, Giant Screen Waterfall, Ishida Pearl, Reproductive God Pillar, Coral Wonderland, etc. In 2005, it was rated as one of the six most beautiful tourist caves in China by National Geographic Magazine.
For the protection of Furong Cave, tourists are currently entering the cave in batches, with 30 people in each batch, and the tour guide will explain the whole process for free, and the tour will take about 1.5 hours. The lighting in the cave is also opened in sections, the purpose is to protect the landscape in the cave from being destroyed by microorganisms that survive due to light. After the tour in the cave is over, you can visit the Furong River by the way. The Furong River cruise ship terminal and cross-river speed skating are near the entrance of the cave.
