Like all the well-known mountain passes in Tibet, Gangbala Pass has a huge mani pile, with overlapping wind horse flags fluttering in the wind. This is a good place to overlook Yamdrok Lake: there are clouds on the top of the mountain, casting huge irregular figures on the lake. The blue sky and lake water reflect. The pure lake water presents different shades of blue in the sun: light blue, dark blue, peacock blue, and some are green. The calm lake surface is wrinkled with small waves like fish scales, and the clear water is so deep and soul-catching. In the small irregular farmland on the shore of Hunan, wheat is green and cauliflower is golden, adding to the beauty of the lake and mountains. If you are lucky, after the light rain, you can even see the spectacle of dark clouds on one side, a rainbow hanging on the other side, and a brilliant glow on the other side.
