Gangjian Temple

Gangjian Temple is located in Gangjian Village, Tashiu Township, Sakya County. It is a monastery of the Gelug Sect of Tibetan Buddhism. In 1442, it was founded by Banchen Sangbu Tashi. At the end of the 20th century, the temple was repaired and expanded, and the main hall, Buddha exhibition platform, practice institute and some monk houses were newly built. The temple has a large scale and many Buddhist halls, and it is mainly dedicated to Jamba Buddha.
