Ganqu Temple, also known as Gandan Quguo Temple, is located in Ganqu Village, Ganqu Town, with convenient transportation, 65 kilometers away from Lhasa. The monastery was founded by Xiangtang Yixi Jiunai in 1100 AD and belongs to the Gelug Sect. The temple mainly worships Yixi Jiunai Buddha. There are three living Buddhas in history, and the representative living Buddha is Ngawang Tenzin. Every year on the 28th and 29th of the 11th lunar month in the Tibetan calendar, the temple will hold a dance of gods, which often attracts tens of thousands of people to come to the Buddha.
