Gengqing Temple, the main temple of the Sakya Sect of Tibetan Buddhism in Kham, Sichuan. It is located in Gengqing Town, Dege County. It was originally a Nyingmapa monastery, until Laqing, the seventh generation chieftain of Dege, converted to Sakya sect and expanded it. It was named Lunzhuding Temple, commonly known as Gengqing Temple, which means a large temple. Every year on the first day of the seventh month of the Tibetan calendar, Gengqing Monastery will perform traditional Tibetan opera. Its style and characteristics are self-contained, and it is known as Dege Tibetan opera.

Gengqing Temple is the home temple of the Dege family, all of which were presided over by the Dege chieftain family. It is stipulated that the eldest son of the chieftain became a monk to preside over the administration of the temple, and the second son succeeded the chieftain, so there is no living Buddha in the temple so far. There are 7 branch temples. Until the 12th chieftain built the Dege Sutra Printing House, which was famous far and wide, and famous for Tibetan opera. The original building is divided into the west, with the main hall in the main part, Balenglong in the east, Tangjia Sutra Hall in the west, and the Sutra Printing Institute in the middle. It was destroyed in 1967. Now there are only two Sutra Printing Institutes and Tang Jia Sutra Hall, and the scale is not as good as before. . From Gengqing Temple, there are still large areas of temple ruins, which shows the scale of the past. Travelers can ask lamas to lead them to visit.
