Jinshui Garden is located in Yinchuan, the capital, 15 kilometers away from the urban area. Adjacent to the Yellow River in the west and backed by the Mu Us Sandy Land, it is a good place to visit the Yellow River, view the desert, and experience leisure and entertainment. The ancient ferry in the park was once the gateway to the capital of Xixia (now Yinchuan).

In 1697 A.D., Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty crossed the Yellow River to the east to pacify Galdan here, and left a magnificent poem of "crossing the river after going through the mountains". The large-scale sculpture "Ode to the Yellow River" located in the center of Jinshui Garden is a landmark building in Jinshui tourist area. It is 19.98 meters high and the bottom is an exhibition hall showing the history of the Yellow River, covering an area of 1,000 square meters.

There is a sightseeing elevator in the sculpture, and visitors can climb to the top to have a panoramic view of the scenery on both sides of the river. At the Guanhe Pavilion, board a cruise ship and go upstream to see the Yellow River Bridge, Hedong Airport, Ganlu Temple and other buildings and historical sites. In the west of Hexi, there are Ninghe Terrace, the Yellow River Shelter Forest, etc., where water and sand blend together, and the scenery is quite spectacular.
