Dajingmen is located on the north side of Zhangjiakou City. It was built in the Shunzhi period of the Qing Dynasty. It is a gate on the Great Wall and the north gate of Zhangjiakou City. Today Dajingmen, as a precious historic site, has become one of the symbols of Zhangjiakou City. Tourists who come to Zhangjiakou city will come here to see it. There are continuous mountains on both sides of Dajingmen, and the city gate stands in the middle of the mountain. On the gate, there are four big characters "Da Hao He Shan" written on it. It is the last Chahar governor Gao Weiyue who came here in 1927. I was moved by the magnificent mountain scenery next to Dajingmen. On both sides of the city gate is the Great Wall winding up the mountain. Inside the city gate, there are several ancient buildings and some shops open for viewing. There is no charge to watch and take pictures under the city, but you need to collect tickets to climb the tower. You can climb the hill next to the Great Wall on the tower for a while, and you can watch the open scenery in the distance on the mountain.
