At the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty, it was moved from the inner city to the present place. There was originally a main hall and two accompanying halls in the temple, as well as a knife room, a hall, a stable and an archway. The total area is 720 square meters. The Guandi Temple has been expanded many times, and the last reconstruction was presided over by Jiayuguan guerrilla general Xiong Minqian. In 1998, the Jiayuguan Guancheng Cultural Management Office raised 700,000 yuan to restore the Guandi Temple, and painted the archway, so that the Guandi Temple restored the style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
