Guandu Nature Park is located at the junction of the Keelung River and the Tamsui River, which is the low-lying land in the southwest corner of the Guandu Plain in the Taipei Basin. Over the years, tens of thousands of waterfowl have used this as an important supply station or wintering ground for migrating south and north. In 1996, the relevant local authorities officially established this swamp wetland as Guandu Nature Park.
