Guanghua Temple was originally the famous Huayan Taoist Temple in Wutai Mountain, and later became one of the five places of Zhangjia Living Buddha, and it is also one of the "Ten Temples of Huangmiao" in Wutai Mountain. There are sixteen stone carvings of artistic treasures in the temple.
Guanghua Temple has a long history, and there is still an octagonal single pavilion stone pagoda in the third year of Yuanfeng in the Northern Song Dynasty (1080) behind its apse. A door is engraved on the lower part of the front of the pagoda, and two King Kongs are carved on both sides of the door. Above the door is a vertical plaque, which reads "The Pagoda of Ten Palaces and Virtue of Jintan Lang in Song Dynasty". The font is strong and powerful, which seems to be thin gold body. The whole body of the pagoda is carved from bluestone, which is gorgeous and delicate, very elegant and delicate. It has high academic value.
Guanghua Temple currently has 6 halls and more than 60 rooms. On the north-south central axis, there are Shanmen and Tianwang Hall in turn, with three bays and a single eaves resting on the top of the mountain. Inside, there is a smiling Maitreya Buddha. On the Buddhist altar, Manjusri is offered in the middle, and Puxian and Avalokitesvara are on the side, collectively known as the "Three Great Masters". What is particularly eye-catching is the stone carving of the sixteen venerables here. Each venerable is carved on a stone slab, 1 meter high, 0.5 meters wide, with white lines on a black background, which is extremely eye-catching, vivid and lifelike. Art treasures.
