Guangyun Mian Temple is located on the north side of Mengdong Street, Cangyuan Wa Autonomous County, commonly known as "Xuetang Mian Temple". It was built in the Qing Dynasty and is the upper Buddhist building passed down from the south. The architectural style of the temple is more influenced by the architectural style of the Han nationality. It retains the basic form of the upper Buddhist temples in the South. It is an organic combination of the appearance of the Han style architecture and the interior decoration of the Dai courtyard.
The wood carvings of Guangyun Mian Temple, except for the two giant dragons in front of the gate, are all openworked patterns on the doors and windows in front of the hall, with exquisite craftsmanship. There are 10 murals painted on the walls of the main hall. Most of the murals are outlined in ink and then filled with color. The style and technique are similar to those of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Most of the buildings in the painting have double eaves and resting hilltops, which belong to the architectural style of the Han nationality, while the characters include officials, ladies, soldiers, attendants, etc., and they belong to different ethnic groups in terms of clothing. Among them, the warriors wear crowns and jackets with narrow sleeves around the horseshoe mouth, which are typical Qing Dynasty costumes.
