Guanwang Temple, commonly known as Laoye Temple, is located on the south side of Yuquan Mountain in Linli Village, Baiquan Township, on the outskirts of Yangquan City.

The Guanwang Temple was built in the fifth year of Xining in the Northern Song Dynasty (1072). It is the earliest preserved commemorative building among the thousands of Guandi Wu temples in my country. According to legend, the Guanwang Temple was built when Lord Lu Ban appeared. After the completion of the temple, superhuman architectural skills such as "saw foam-faced pillars", "roughly chopping rafters" and "generally large inside and outside" appeared in the main hall. This interesting architectural legend adds a more mysterious color to Guanwang Temple.

The temple stands southwest to northeast, backed by mountains and facing Fu, covering an area of nearly 7,000 square meters, divided into two courtyards, inner and outer. The main body of the building is the main hall of Guan Wang, which consists of the hall of dedication, the hall of crossing the door, the north and south side halls, the enclosing corridor, the stage, the gate, the archway of Zhongshu, the pavilion of falling arrows, the pavilion of drinking horses, etc., forming a well-arranged and majestic building. And it is a group of wooden buildings in Song Dynasty, Ming and Qing Dynasties with certain historical, artistic and scientific value.

The existing main hall was rebuilt in the fourth year of Xuanhe (1122) of the Northern Song Dynasty. The architectural style of the entire temple partly follows the style of the Tang Dynasty, and most of it maintains the architectural norms in the "Zaofashi" of the Song Dynasty. It is a treasure of ancient architecture. The golden-faced statue of Guan Gong is majestic and imposing.
