Guanyin Gorge Scenic Spot is located 17 kilometers southeast of Lijiang City. It is the first dangerous fortress on the Yunnan-Tibet line of the Ancient Tea-Horse Road, known as "the first scene of Lijiang". Here you can watch the majestic geological shapes in the canyon, walk the ancient tea-horse road, sit in the Mujia Bieyuan, drink a cup of Pu'er tea, and feel the strong style of the ancient tea-horse road.

The Guanyin Gorge Scenic Area consists of two areas, Huanglongtan and Guanyin Gorge, connected by a 385-meter tunnel, and there are small electric trains going back and forth between them. There are mountains and rivers, lakes, canyons, forests and waterfalls in the scenic area, and the natural scenery is beautiful. In addition, there are quaint Naxi villages, ancient tea-horse road relics, religious temples and other cultural landscapes. Walking into the charming Guanyin Gorge, it seems to have returned to the era when tea and horses were exchanged.

Entering the scenic spot, the first thing you pass is the Ancient Tea-Horse Road. There are relics such as Mujia Bridge and Mujia Bieyuan on the road. One screen wall, four-in-one five-patio structure, people can't help but think of the glory of the caravan. There are also many old workshops and shops along the street, such as carpenter's shop, cobbler's shop, copper and iron shop, silver shop, inn, tavern, etc., with a strong original ecological style, which can vaguely change the lively scene of caravans passing by in the past.

Going forward, you can see the Tianxiang Pagoda, which is made of small stones, which is a unique worship tower for the Naxi people; the Xiake Pavilion where Xu Xiake once stayed; and the Tibetan Cultural Institute with a strong religious atmosphere. You can sit in the antique Yunnan-Tibet tea house, drink a cup of strong Pu'er tea, and feel the leisurely atmosphere.

After that, take a small train, pass through a 385-meter mountain tunnel, and come to the mouth of Guanyin Gorge. The canyon is green and verdant. Not far ahead, you can see a waterfall hanging in front of the mountain like a horse. This is the famous Guanyin Waterfall. There is a standing statue of Guanyin in the cave beside the waterfall. Maybe this is the origin of Guanyin Gorge. There are many peaks in the canyon, and the uncanny craftsmanship of nature has created more than ten natural scenic spots such as "Sky Pillar", "Ancient Plank Road", "Monkey Cave", "Camel Peak", and "Tang Monk Statue", all of which are natural and have different shapes. Continue to the lakeside, and then you can take a cruise ship, and return to the Mujia Bieyuan while viewing the scenery along the way.

Guanyin Gorge can be played for about 2 hours as a whole, no accommodation is required, and you can return to Lijiang by car after the tour.
